These are strong magnets in a nickel-plated steel casing that allows the magnets to be easily installed into a generator of a small wind turbine project or hydro power station’s rotor. The shapes in the stock include discs, cylinders, blocks, cubes, spheres, rings, cones, pyramids, triangles, stars. One style of magnets comes with a hook attached, which can be incredibly handy on your fridge, in your locker, garage or shop.
The neodymium magnets are extremely strong, and must be handled with care to avoid personal injury and damage to the magnets. Fingers and other body parts can get severely pinched between two attracting magnets. Neodymium magnets are brittle, and can peel, crack or shatter if allowed to slam together. Eye protection should be worn when handling these magnets, because shattering magnets can launch pieces at great speeds.
