Ampere, Volt, Watt, Ohm, Horsepower.
You do not have to know the definitions of all electrical units used in wind energy systems, nor do you need to know how they relate each other mathematically, but it is helpful to know what each represents:
A - Ampere - The unit of current. One ampere is the current which one volt can send through a resistance of one ohm. Wiring is rated according to how many amps it can carry;
V - Volt - Voltage (sometimes also called electric or electrical tension) is the difference of electrical potential between two points of an electrical or electronic circuit, expressed in Volts. It measures the potential energy of an electric field to cause an electric current in an electrical conductor. Depending on the difference of electrical potential it is called extra low voltage, low voltage, high voltage or extra high voltage. Volt - The unit of electrical potential or motive force. The force is required to send one ampere of current through one ohm of resistance;
VA - Volt Amperes - The product of the volts and amperes as shown by a voltmeter and ammeter. In direct current systems, volt ampere is the same as watts or the energy delivered. In alternating current systems, the volts and amperes may or may not be 100% synchronous. When synchronous, the volt amperes equal the watts on a wattmeter. When not synchronous, volt amperes exceed watts.
kA - Kilovolt Ampere - One kilovolt ampere - KVA - is equal to 1,000 volt amperes.
W - Watt - The unit of electrical energy or power. One watt is the product of one ampere and one volt. One ampere of current flowing under the force of one volt gives one watt of energy.
Ohm - The unit of resistance. One ohm is the resistance offered to the passage of one ampere when impelled by one volt.

W = power (Watts)
V = voltage (Volts)
I = current (Amperes)
R = resistance (Ohms)
Active (Real or True) Power is measured in watts (W) and is the power drawn by the electrical resistance of a system that does useful work.
Apparent Power is measured in volt-amperes (VA) and is the voltage on an AC system multiplied by all the current that flows in it. It is the vector sum of the true and the reactive power.

Neodymium

The
